Sad News – A Tribute To Maggie

I heard some really sad news today.

An online friend, known to Randy too through his Marketing Beginners site, named Maggie sadly passed away.

I didn’t really know Maggie, in fact we never met.

But, she was in her own way an inspiration to me and I know she was to several other people she befriended.

She never actually made it big with her blogging but she never, ever gave up.

She found many of the technicalities a trial but she’d ask the questions, roll up her sleeves and do just what she needed to do.

I convinced her at one stage that she should use WordPress and although this was another big obstacle for her to get around she succeed in getting to grips with the technology and put up several good blogs.

She struggled with her own health and helping others was a joy to her. She would encourage everybody even when she was finding the going tough.

I’m pleased to have known Maggie, albeit from a distance, but I’m really sad she never got her blogs to the place she wanted.

If she was still her I know she would have got there with time.

Peace be with you Maggie.

I’m also very sorry to hear this news. Didn’t know her directly but recognize her avatar and that is possibly from being around Randy’s Marketing Beginners from way back.

Condolences to her friends and family.

Maggie was a very dear person with a positive “I Can Do It” attitude that most of us should strive to duplicate.

    She will me missed.

      Hi Brian,
Yes, Maggie was a lovely lady who really wanted her blogging to succeed. I’m sure she had what it takes if she had just had enough time.

So sorry to hear of Maggie’s passing- and my sympathy to her family and friends. Although in the internet world we never actually meet people in person-we still develop a bond and a friendship that surpasses the miles between.

Just think – for previous generations, apart from a chance meeting, there were millions & millions of people who would never know of your existence.

Now potentially something you say (read write) could be seen and maybe influence anyone on the planet with computer access. Now there’s responsibility!

Better make sure we say the right things!

Sad to hear this. I have been a member of marketing beginners for a while now and it is a very useful membership site.

It’s strange how so many of us use the same training without ever really getting to know each other

I guess it is all really down to how much effort we are prepared to put in. Same is true offline – how many of us say “Hi” to someone everyday but know virtually nothing about them?

So sorry to hear about Maggie, it was always a pleasure reading her blogs. I am sure her energy will be with all of us for a long time.

Wizzer I know that you are right about the effort, but I think the problem lies in that most of us do not know what effort is needed to really achieve our dreams. Along with outdated beliefs and negative input it is just hard to know what to do each day to be better then the day before. I have something I learned yesterday that may help everyone in achieving their dreams.
“Aim for a 1% improvement every single day” I think most of us can do this right?

That’s a great point about “direction” Roxanne & I think you’re absolutely right. Unless we know what effort is actually required to achieve our dreams we can put all the effort in the world in but find ourselves heading in the wrong direction.

There’s a total need for a plan, based on total clarity of what we really want. It’s very easy to think we want something but in actual fact a little more thought reveals that “thing” is in fact only a stepping stone to the real dream.

My own is “freedom”. The millionaire lifestyle sounds great but in fact most people I know who are at that stage are stuck with staff, targets, overheads etc and don’t have time to live their dream. Despite the “sales” letters stating they work an hour a week and in their pajamas I’m afraid I’m not taken in.

So focusing on the money is not the answer. You’re likely to end up with something you don’t really want. Focusing on true financial independence and the lifestyle I want with the freedom to do exactly what I want, when I want is the “map” I follow.

      Thanks for your great insight.
